A werewolf
(also known as a lycanthrope) is a folklore human by day who turns into a
wolf-like creature, usually under a full moon, by night and kills humans or
animals. One bite from a werewolf may then change the victim into another
werewolf. Some stories more modern than folklore say that lycanthropes can
only be killed by being shot with a silver bullet.
