Danger Mouse is a cartoon secret agent, who wears an eyepatch (because it's part of the suit), who is aided by his sidekick Ernest Penfold, a bespectacled timid hamster who often asks DangerMouse "Can we go home now?". "Ooh crumbs!". His boss is Colonel K, a chinchilla, and his arch enemy is The Terrible Toad, Baron Silas Greenback.
