We often talk about
"retro fashion" or "retro clothing", but what is the meaning of the word?
It actually comes from the Latin prefix "retro" - meaning "backwards" or
"in past times".
The term "psychedelic"
was first coined by the psychiatrist Humphry Osmond in 1957, just before
the 60's decade began.
Many minidresses in the sixties and seventies
had patterns which were psychedelic or paisley style, with bright stunning
colours. This dress is great for emulating those swinging 60's or disco
fever 70's days.
To compliment 1960's and
1970's dresses it was fashionable to wear boots - either go-go boots or platform boots. When
