Trivia
Grease started off
as a stage musical in 1971, produced by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs. The
movie version was produced by Robert Stigwood and Allan Carr.
The movie stars
John Travolta as Danny Zucko and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy Olsson, and is
set in 1958 at Rydell High School. They fall in love after meeting on a
beach. Sandy then turns up as a new student at Danny's school.
Danny's other
T-Bird friends are Kenickie, Dood, Putzie and Sonny. Sandy joins the Pink
Ladies - Betty Rizzo, Frenchy, Jan and Marty.
Frenchy is played
by the actress Didi Conn. She wants to drop out of Rydell High School to
become a beautician, but is convinced, in a dream, by a guardian teen angel
(Frankie Avalon), to stay on.
